For authorities and partner organisations
FamilyConnect is a coordination layer for the family-facing side of the response. It does not replace your systems, your authority, or your decisions — it makes your verified information reachable by the families who need it.
Your authority is never transferred
Why participate
One verified channel instead of many unverified ones
Your updates are published once, with your organisation named as the source, your own reference number, and a timestamp. Families see them next to every unverified claim, clearly labelled — which reduces repeated phone calls and duplicated reports.
Structured case data, not ad-hoc messages
Missing person reports, safe declarations and hospital admission updates arrive in a consistent format with the fields coordinators actually need. Nothing is merged or matched automatically — staff review every suggestion.
Rumour control with your authority behind it
When false claims circulate about casualty numbers, road access or rescue status, coordinators publish counter-statements that cite the responsible authority by name. Confirmed information is never attributed to FamilyConnect itself.
Minimum data, clear accountability
The platform holds only the information needed to locate and assist people. Every read and change by staff is recorded in an immutable audit trail you can ask to review.
How onboarding works
1. Register your organisation
Contact the coordination team with your organisation's name, role in the response (police, hospital, NGO, embassy, tour operator), and an official contact. Administrators verify the organisation before any access is granted.
2. Nominate authorised users
Each user gets an individual partner account linked to your organisation. There are no shared logins, and every submission is attributed to a named person and organisation.
3. Submit updates with your own reference
Partners submit information against a case with a source type and your internal reference number. Submissions are visible as unverified until a coordinator verifies them — your authority label only appears once verified.
4. Keep read access limited to your cases
Partner accounts see only the cases they are linked to. Safeguarding and highly restricted information is never visible to partner accounts.
What we ask of you
- Submit updates promptly and with a reference families can quote back to you.
- Tell us when information is corrected or superseded so families never rely on stale updates.
- Nominate a contact for disputed or safeguarding-related cases.
What you can expect from us
- Verified updates published within the coordinator review queue, with your name attached.
- No automatic case merges, matches or status changes — ever.
- A full audit trail of who saw and changed what, available on request.
